Dawn Maguire 

Dawn Maguire is the clinical director of NRICBT.  

Dawn received her Master's in Social Work from Rhode Island College School of Social work and her B.A.  in Psychology from Rhode Island College.    She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a primary treatment focus of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness.

Dawn completed training locally with the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder clinic with Butler Hospital as well as advanced clinical training with the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation (IOCDF) via the Behavior Therapy Treatment Institute (BTTI).    She has worked with persons struggling with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), Hoarding Disorder (HD), General Anxiety Disorder, Social and Specific Phobias, Panic Disorder, Depression and various life stressors. She also has worked with family members of persons struggling with HD,

 

Dawn was a founding member of the RI Hoarding Task Force and currently is an adjunct professor at Rhode Island College Graduate School of Social Work.

 

Dawn is currently offering both in person and telehealth therapy sessions with NRICBT.

Megan received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Simmons College School of Social Work in 2009 – completing internships at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain and at Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Student Health Services. She held positions as a Clinical Specialist and then as a Team Leader for an Integrated Health Home Team at Gateway Healthcare, providing outpatient mental health treatment to adults with chronic and persistent mental illness.

Megan is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a primary treatment focus of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT) and Mindfulness . She treats adults living with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) , Social and Specific Phobias, Panic Disorder, Depression and various life stressors.

Currently, Megan is the Program Manager for the OCD & Anxiety Intensive Outpatient Program at Butler Hospital.

Lori Smith LICSW

Lori received both her Masters  and Bachelors in Social Work from Rhode Island College School Of Social Work  She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) 

​

 Lori's clinical practice centers around helping adolescents and adults who are dealing with anxiety,
depression, life transitions, and relationship issues specializing in challenges specific related to widowed, divorced/separated,clients.  She utilizes a  range of evidence-based
therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment
Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based techniques, and client-centered approaches.

Currently Lori works as a  High School based Social worker and brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as an individual therapist  with NRICBT

Laura Woods LICSW 

Laura received her Masters in Social Work from Rhode Island College School Of Social Work and her B.A. in Psychology and Speech and Hearing Sciences from Rhode Island College. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and has a Certificate of Graduate Studies (CGS) in Child and Adolescent Trauma. Laura uses a primary treatment focus of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness, and Positive Psychology.

Laura has worked with persons struggling with traumatic experiences, somatic symptoms, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, developmental disorders, learning disorders, Down's Syndrome, Autism, ADHD, Schizophrenia, Gender Dysphoria and/or other LGBTQ+ issues, and Adjustment Disorders. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Laura currently works as an IBH consultant for a pediatric office and is an adjunct professor for the Continuing Education program at Rhode Island College Graduate School of Social Work.
